INSIGHT-AM is funded by the Medical Research Council Experimental Medicine Scheme (study funding reference number MR/X005046/1). The process involved 6 expert peer-reviewers following the initial grant application, with changes and improvements made to the grant following this. The grant was also reviewed and commented upon by the MRC Experimental Medicine Panel Members. All reviews were considered and written responses to the reviewers' comments and MRC panel were provided.
