Tim Carney
Tim is a retired General Practitioner. He was a partner with the Burn Brae Medical Group for 37 years. As a full time GP he carried out Primary Care Research and published papers on GP worload, CVD and Diabetes. With Celia Helliwell he led standard setting in Diabetes in West Northumberland before NICE or QOF. He ceased clinical practice in December 2012, but still acts as a reviewer and research advisor to research proposals locally and nationally.
