Becky P.Y. Loo is Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Hong Kong. She is Editor-in-Chief of Travel Behaviour and Society (Elsevier) and Associate Editor of the Journal of Transport Geography (Elsevier). She is also on the Editorial Boards of Asian Geographer, International Journal of Shipping and Logistics, International Journal of Sustainable Transportation, Journal of Urban Technology, TransportmetricaA: Transport Science and Transportation, among others. Her research interests are transport and society (particularly sustainable transport, travel behaviour and road safety), spatial analysis (particularly applied GIS) and e-technologies (particularly the Internet, globalization and impacts on society). Her services to the University, transport profession and the society include being Deputy Director of the Institute of Transport Studies, Assistant Dean and Director of Curriculum of the Graduate School, Programme Director of Master of Arts in Transport Policy and Planning, President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong, and serving on the Board of Directors of Ocean Park Corporation, the Air Transport Licensing Authority, the Harbourfront Commission and the Road Safety Council.
