As a pilot case study, the approach will be assessed on buildings in danger at Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The resulting structural assessment and health inspection will directly assist local stakeholders (heritage office, municipality) to take proper measures for heritage protection and restoration. It is anticipated that any subsequent reconstruction process will also be measured and monitored using the developed integrated system. Moreover, colour and texture realistic digital models can be integrated into geospatial databases so that all users, e.g. city planners, designers, government agencies/policy makers, and the public, can have access. Visualization on public online platforms will facilitate virtual tourism to potentially attract more visitors to the site.
