Ceit Jesmont is a clinical teaching fellow in paediatrics at the Great North Children's Hospital in Newcastle. She undertook her medical training at Cambridge University and went on to complete her foundation training in Newcastle. As an academic foundation trainee she undertook two placements in the Institute of Neuroscience at Newcastle university, 2017-2019, supervised by Dr Anna Basu. Her research focussed on psychological interventions to support parents of children with cerebral palsy. She also assisted with projects looking into early diagnosis and therapy in cerebral palsy. During her placement she explored the current use of the Fun 'n' Games website and resources by healthcare practitioners. She continues to contribute to analysis of the website's use and value, and is currently exploring the use of the resources by parents/carers of children with CP.
