Research

The Health Economics Group aims to produce world leading research in health economics by:

  • improving the allocation of scarce health and social care resources
  • developing and applying methods for economic evaluation
  • tackling inequalities in access to care and health
  • developing and applying better method to measure the benefits of health and social care

These goals are met by conducting research over three cross cutting areas:

  • development and application of economic evaluation
  • priority setting in health care
  • econometric applications in studies of health, focused on income and health inequalities and unhealthy behaviours.
