Our HEALTH team gave a talk on using machine learning techniques to develop multimorbidity clusters for better understanding of healthcare utilisation among different clusters, particularly in deprived areas. Multimorbidity is known as having two or more chronic conditions, which makes people more vulnerable to use healthcare services. The work is a collaboration between our team at Newcastle University and Prof. Yanzhong Wang, and Prof. Mark Ashworth, our partners from King’s College London. 

We also had multiple poster booths in the conference about risk of air pollution on human health, how we can use artificial intelligence to predict hospital re-admissions among multimorbid patients.
