GRG Evening Lecture Series at City Library: “Symbols, Meaning, Dreams” – Paul Attinello (Newcastle University) Wednesday, 29 October, 5.15-6.00pm
Approaches to understanding dreams discovered by Freud and Jung more than a century ago are still used today in psychoanalysis. After looking at the basic ideas and their variations, we will focus on productive ways of interpreting dreams – especially Jung’s approach, where we explore the reflected or implied stories and archetypes, so we can consider what they suggest for our future lives.
Paul Attinello is Diploma Candidate Analyst at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zürich and Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University.
