A partner on Theme 4 is the 'China Ship Development and Design Centre' (CSDDC) based in Shanghai.
A visit took place by Newcastle University staff in July 2012 to discuss future collaborations. A return visit by Chinese staff to Newcastle took place at the beginning of the year 2013.
