Miss Tara Homer BComm, MSc (Health Economics). Tara is a Research Assistant in Newcastle University since completing her MSc at the National University of Ireland, University College Cork in 2012. In addition to working as the Trial Health Economist in FiCTION her current work also includes other NIHR HTA funded studies. The first was evaluating the cost-effectiveness of an invasive test for urinary incontinence before surgical treatment in a pilot trial. She is also involved in the economic evaluation of a HTA trial for treating alcoholic hepatitis (STOPAH). Tara’s role within FiCTION is to conduct the health economic analysis of the trial in conjunction with Professor Luke Vale.
