  • Assessing Er activity in hormonal therapy drug resistant cells

Hormonal therapies available for breast cancer like tamoxifen and Fulvesterant target the Estrogen receptor but cancer cells are becoming resistant to these cells. This Project is aimed at assessing Estrogen Receptor activity in drug resistant cell lines in comparison to parental MCF-7 cells to establish the role of Estrogen receptor in growth of the cancer cells. This would help define the main drivers of cell proliferation in these derivatives and exploit for potential future therapies.
