- Using 3D models of early human development to analyse gene expression data and define anatomical domains in the forebrain.
This project will involve using 3D digital models to visualise the changes in shape of the human forebrain as it develops. I will be using 3D models from 3.5 - 8 post conception weeks and of the developing brain at 9 and 13 post conception weeks. This project will mainly focus on mapping marker gene expression onto the 9 and 13 post conception week models. This will be used as a guide to paint the corresponding anatomical domains, particularly those relating to patterning centres. As well as mapping anatomical domains, immunohistochemical staining protocols will also be used to generate data.
