- Understanding the Archaeological and Historical Landscape of Lufton, near Yeovil, Somerset.
The village of Lufton, Somerset lies at the centre of a number of significant historical sites including a Motte and Bailey castle and a Roman villa. However, such sites, although investigated by experts, are often poorly understood by residents and tourists. It is my aim to gain access and to collect existing information from a number of sources in an attempt to create a user friendly, engaging assemblage of material that can be easily accessed by the public. I hope to produce a series of reports about the various sites and publish them on the Lufton Project blog as well as produce a heritage trail in the form a poster that collectively presents my findings.
