The aim of the summer research programme is to investigate how the presence of Alpha-synclien (AS) polymer correlated to the ferritin levels in older test subjects. Blood samples will be collected and tested in the laboratory to measure the levels of ferritin in plasma and erythrocytes, from older control subjects diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies and Vascular dementia.
