- In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation of Nano- Carriers for Vaccinating Fish
This research aims to optimize a nanomaterial based vaccine delivery system into fish infected by bacteria, Tenacibaculum Maritimum (TIMA). Nano-carriers, nano-clay with different grafting components were exploited to assess for their efficacy and efficiency during delivery. Firstly, characterization of nano-carriers was carried out to examine the modification result. It was followed by biological assays of nanoparticles to measure the delivery and release kinetics of standard protein. Cell passaging and cell splitting were also conducted prior to toxicity assay and green fluorescent protein nanoparticle delivery. The final part of this project was to immerse fish into vaccine solution for RT-PCR purpose.
