Following the discovery that real-world roller coasters seem to stimulate the mind of a person with autism, allowing them to hold longer periods of conversation, I would like to design and create a simulated roller coaster experience to see if it will help these severely autistic subjects in a similar way. I would implement a graphical first-person simulation of a roller coaster, using the Unity 3D engine. The steepness of the tracks, sharpness of the bends, closeness of the near misses will be data driven so that the tracks are generated dynamically with increasing amounts of apparent peril.
