Planning for a career is an essential component of undertaking any university degree, especially for undergraduate Bioscience students. The ever-increasing competitiveness of the jobs market in the Science sector; now requires Bioscience graduates to be able to comprehensively demonstrate effective employability skills with position short-listing no longer dependent on academic achievements alone. This research project aimed to identify any disparities between the skill sets of Newcastle Bioscience graduates and the required skills sets of Bioscience employers. The ultimate outcome of this project was to implement methods to increase Newcastle Bioscience graduate employability.
