Paranoia is characterised by irrational suspicion and delusional beliefs, and affects an individual’s perception of trust of other people. It is a natural trait and exists to varying degrees in all individuals, even though it may not be pathological and not considered clinically significant. This project aims to test cognitive models of paranoia by comparing the judgements of trustworthiness (explicit measure) as well as attention to threat (implicit measure) in low and high paranoid groups.
