• Analysis of the WT1-VEGF molecular pathway in AML

The main aims of the project were to assess the relative levels of expression of the VEGF and SRPK1 genes and to assess if there were any changes related to WT1 mutation in AML. Both WT1 mutation and VEGF expression have been independently implicated in a poor outcome for AML patients, hence this project aimed to assess if WT1 and VEGF were related in a panel of AML samples and therefore if WT1-VEGF may be a molecular pathway that could be targeted therapeutically.
