- American Indians and colonists: changing attitudes towards land, the British colonial period.
American Indians held a distinct set of beliefs in regards to land. Through study of colonial New England I plan to explore three main aims. Firstly, to understand how the beliefs of the American Indians differed from those of the British colonists. Secondly, the extent to which British colonists altered the American Indians' attitudes towards land. Finally, the extent any changes in attitude and belief impacted the land and the American Indian way of life.
