• Metadata management of geospatial data for Earth System Engineering research.

This project will assess the issues involved in the metadata management of geospatial data including infrastructure networks (e.g., transport networks), spatial model outputs (e.g., land use) and fine spatial scale aerial images and topographic data. The project will develop a series of methods for the automated integration of such data within a spatial database management system. The work will also develop an appropriate set of approaches for headlining metadata and provenance records for geospatial datasets. The resulting database management system will link datasets available within various groups of the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences.
