Expanded Interiors is an interdisciplinary research project, initiated by visual artist Catrin Huber and led by Newcastle University with kind support from the Newcastle University Institute for Creative Arts Practice.
The archaeological site of Pompeii has been included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1997, together with Herculaneum and the Oplontis villas. Massimo Osanna leads the site as director.
The archaeological site of Ercolano has been included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1997, together with the Pompeii excavations and Oplontis villas. Since 2001, Herculaneum has made use of a public-private partnerships to secure the archaeological site and to continue to work to ensure its conservation and enhancement. Francesco Sirano joined the site as director in April 2017.
The Herculaneum Conservation Project is an initiative of the Packard Humanities Institute, a philanthropic foundation operating in Italy through the Packard Institute for Cultural Heritage, in close collaboration with the Parco Archeologico di Ercolano and other partners.
Art Editions North (AEN) produces artists’ books, monographs and exhibition catalogues, alongside volumes of new research about curating and collecting contemporary art, and artists’ relationships to art’s institutions. Art Editions North is an imprint of the University of Sunderland, created in conjunction with Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, National Glass Centre and CIRCA Projects.
