End of Project Event March 2025

The end of project event was held at The Royal College of Pathologists on Friday 28th March.  The event was considered a soft-launch of the end of project report and the animation, both of which are available on this website.  The event was attended by a wide-range of stakeholders including representatives from the National Police Chiefs Council, the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine, the United Kingdom Association of Forensic Nurses and Paramedics, the Independent Office of Police Conduct, the Care Quality Commission, the Independent Custody Visitors Association and the National Appropriate Adult Network.  In addition, well-respected academics working in the fields of Criminology, Sociology of Health and Illness and Bioethics also attended.  The findings and recommendations were well-received by attendees and the whole day was conducted in a positive manner leading to significant plans to implement a number of the project's recommendations.
