Daniel Siemens is Professor of European History at Newcastle University’s School of History, Classics and Archaeology. His research interests are in the political, cultural and social history of Europe and the United States in the nineteenth and twentieth century. His current research project is a transnational history of the United Restitution Organisation (URO). Furthermore, he is writing a biography of the German-Jewish journalist Hermann Budzislawski (1901-1978).
