Siobhán is a historian of gender and sexuality focusing on the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. She researches and writes about military masculinity, sexual morality, prostitution, and venereal diseases. She is also one of the co-editors of Peripheral Histories (https://peripheralhistories.wixsite.com/mysiteok), a project exploring ‘peripheral’ spaces in the Russian Empire, Soviet Union, and post-Soviet world.
