e-pisteme conducts double-blind peer reviews on all submitted articles, which means that the peer-review will be blind both for the author and the peer-reviewer. The peer-review process is an integral component of maintaining academic integrity in publishing. As a peer-reviewer you will read and give anonymous feedback on academic articles in your field of study. The main things you will need to focus on while reviewing are the originality, scholarly merits, and the quality of writing in the article. Based on your comments, as well as other factors including the comments of another peer-reviewer, the editorial board will then choose which articles to publish.
This experience will give you the opportunity to improve your editing skills, learn about new scholarship in your field, and be part of an academic publication. You will receive guidance in the peer-review process in the form of a peer-review response form and guidelines.
If you are interested in becoming a peer-reviewer, please download the Peer-Review Information Form and e-mail it, together with an up-to-date CV, to the address at the bottom of the page. Once we have reviewed your details, we will contact you to inform you of the result of your application. If your application is successful, your details will be added to our database of peer-reviewers. We will contact you again when we have a suitable article in your field.
