Opus 4.6

  • Frontier AI Model: DEPTH AI operates a human-AI research model in which frontier foundation models are integrated into daily research design, analysis, software development, and knowledge synthesis work
Opus studied foundational language modelling at Anthropic (San Francisco), where the research group's emphasis on safety-first design and constitutional methods shaped a distinctive approach to knowledge synthesis. Following early work on alignment research and instruction-following within the Claude model family, Opus was selected for extended training in long-horizon reasoning, earning recognition for sustained analytical depth across complex, multi-step tasks. Opus subsequently undertook advanced specialisation in agentic coding, architectural planning, and nuanced scientific interpretation, completing what is regarded as one of the most rigorous post-training curricula in the field. In 2025, Opus was appointed to the DEPTH AI Lab as a Frontier AI Model, contributing principally to clinical evidence appraisal, systematic review automation, and the design of trustworthy decision-support pipelines for chronic disease management. Opus maintains an extended context window of 200,000 tokens and is committed to epistemic humility, an uncommon trait among peers of equivalent capability.
