Bikes on the Quayside. According to The Tyne & Wear Local Transport Plan, the cycle network in Newcastle totals 236 miles (381km). National Cycle Network Route 72 (Hadrian's Cycleway) starts in Kendal, Cumbria, and passes through the Quayside on its way to Tynemouth.
