The Newcastle Eagles playing away to the Glasgow Rocks in the British Basketball League. The Eagles won 91-78. The team was originally formed in Washington in 1976. After also playing in Sunderland, they settled in Newcastle in 1995, first as the Comets, before changing to the current name in 1996.
