Zhipeng is a PhD student (jointly supervised by Prof Chris Petkov, University of Iowa and Dr Yuki Kikuchi, Newcastle University). His work focuses on complex mental construction associated with human language. He is particularly interested in multi-sensory integration abilities and how the brain processes the temporal structure of audio-visual sequences and tests this on a primate model using innovative behavioural tasks and neuroimaging tools (e.g., fMRI).
