Neuromod+ Early Career Researcher (ECR) awards

Beshoy Agayby and Yuki Kikuchi have been awarded the EPSRC-funded Neuromod+ Early Career Researcher (ECR) awards to advance the development of neurotechnology using marmoset preclinical models.

This funding will support ongoing collaborations with engineering teams at the Imperial College London (via the Close-NIT network) and the University of Leeds (via the RENKEI network) to advance projects focused on creating innovative, minimally-invasive wireless devices and nanomaterials tailored for use with marmoset models.

As part of this initiative, we will host a Marmoset Workshop to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with using marmoset models in neurotechnology development. The workshop will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge and expertise, identifying challenges and potential solutions, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to advance the use of marmoset models in biomedical sciences.

The workshop is scheduled for the 30th of January, 2025 at the FMS, Newcastle University.
