EPSRC/MRC-funded CloseNIT grant support on Marmoset Closed-loop Project
We are delighted to announce that the lab will be supported by EPSRC/MRC-funded CloseNIT grant from 2024 May on the project, titled ‘Closed-loop Auditory Stimulation to Modulate Amygdala-Frontal Synchrony in Free-Moving Marmosets’ (PI: Yuki Kikuchi; Co-Is: Andrew Jackson, Newcastle, UK; Timothy Constandinou, Imperial College London, UK).
The project focuses on developing closed-loop auditory stimulation to modulate amygdala and prefrontal theta oscillations in free-moving marmosets and aims to explore its effects on communication and cognitive flexibility which are relevant to social cognitive disorders such as autism and anxiety.
We are currently seeking a part-time RA with a robust background in bioengineering and neurotechnology. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Dr Yuki Kikuchi for more details.
