The clinical epilepsy research team at Newcastle University focusses on the clinical and genetic features of epilepsy in humans. We are members of the clinical neurology department at Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where we are engaged in a portfolio of clinical trials in epilepsy, and we work with colleagues around the North of England.

Our work aims to improve the quality of life of people with epilepsy through advances in clinical care. In particular we are interested in the use of clinical data, genetic and other biomarkers to provide better care.
