Wu Wenguang吴文光

Wu Wenguang is one of the leading figures of Chinese independent documentary filmmaking. He has made a large number of documentaries and short films over the past three decades including Bumming in Beijing (1990), 1966, My Time in the Red Guards (1993), Jiang Hu: Life on the Road (1990), Fuck Cinema (2005), Bare Your Staff (2010), Treating (2010), Because of Hunger (2013), Investigating My Father (2016), Autobiography: Pass Through 92017), Dairy: Snow, 21 Nov, 1998 (1999), Public Space (2000), and Search: Hamlet in China (2002). His films have been selected at many film festivals around the world.Wu launched the Memory Project in 2010 to collect oral histories from survivors of the Great Famine in rural China. He is also the author of non-fiction books Bumming in Beijing, 1966, Revolution Scene and Report on Jiangsu
