Based at Newcastle University, CIFN Film Society hosts monthly screenings of a rare collection of Chinese independent films and post-screening discussions led by a group of early-career researchers and PhD students. We aim to stimulate research and debates on a range of social issues portrayed in these indie films, and foster a vibrant local research environment.
