Bruce contributed to a symposium, organised by Glasgow Life, focusing on Supporting Older People in the Museum and Heritage Sector. This took place on Wednesday 28 February, in The Burrell Collection, Glasgow.

The symposium opened with an introduction by the organiser, Yla Barrie (Volunteer and Placement Coordinator, Glasgow Museums). Opening talks were given by Tamsin Russell (Workforce Development Lead, Museums Association) & Bruce. These set the scene for the days discussions which were facilitated by Alistair Callaghan (Kinharvie) which covered different aspects of this issues.

Participants included volunteer managers from across the UK as well as representatives of other charities and third sector organisations involved in the lives and wellbeing of older people.
