Welcome to the Northern Region Young Persons' Malignant Disease Registry website.
The Northern Region Young Persons’ Malignant Disease Registry is a population based registry which was originally set up in 1968 by clinicians working in hospitals within an area formerly known as the Northern Health Region of England, for children and young people in the area who were diagnosed or treated with cancer. It continues to be a useful research and clinical tool for both academic researchers and clinicians.
The hope is that the registry and resultant research with help reduce a patient's burden from cancer and will improve the results and outcomes of treatment.
