Sheena’s key research interests include chronic disease epidemiology, disease prevention, and the oral health of older people. She is an Honorary Consultant in Public Health. Trained as a dental surgeon with a specialisation in public health, she integrates epidemiological and public health research with policy and practice.

Peter’s research focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. A central theme of his work has been the investigation of geographical, social, and ethnic differences in disease, together with the accurate assessment of disease and risk factor burdens.
