Louise Mair
Louise works as a post-doctoral Research Associate at Newcastle University. Her research focusses on Aichi Biodiversity Target 12, and she works closely with the SSC Conservation Planning Specialist Group to understand why global progress towards this target has been limited. Her research aims to understand the challenges involved in achieving Target 12 and to develop tools and approaches that will assist countries in addressing threatened species. Louise’s background is in macro-ecological research, with a particular focus on the impacts of climate change and land use on species distributions. She completed her PhD at the University of York and has experience working as a post-doctoral researcher at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala.
