Le projet « Beyond 'Left Behind' Places: Understanding Demographic and Socio-economic Change in Peripheral Regions in France, Germany and the UK » est financé par l'Economic & Social Research Council (ESCR), l'Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) et la Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).

Il s'agit d'un projet comparatif qui implique 16 chercheurs, ainsi qu’un groupe de partenaires non universitaires au Royaume-Uni, en France et en Allemagne.
