Meet the team
Morven Brown
Morven is the study lead for the BEACON Sarcoma project.
Morven is a Senior Research Associate at Newcastle University, where she has worked in childhood cancer survivorship for the past 15 years. She is also a Health Psychologist.
Morven's research focuses on the long-term impact of cancer, for instance how the experience of cancer may have affected the young people's education, relationships and how they view themselves. Morven is also interested in the health behaviours of young people who have survived cancer and specifically how we can support them to lead healthier and happier lives. Importantly, Morven's research involves gaining and valuing the young person's own views and understanding their needs and preferences.
