Jan Van Maele teaches communication at KU Leuven, Belgium. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from UCL, Belgium. His main research interests are language assessment and intercultural communication, with a focus on intercultural learning in educational and engineering settings, in collaboration with partners in Europe, China, Cuba, and Japan.
