Dr Sandra Ortega Martorell

Sandra Ortega Martorell is a Senior Lecturer in Data Science at LJMU.  Her research involves the development of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to target specific problems in areas such as cardiovascular disease, cancer diagnosis and management with a clear ambition to apply these methods to ageing research. In her research, Sandra has extensively worked with data from both patients and animal models, in the form of signals, images, metadata, and tabular data to produce mathematical models for classification and image segmentation.
