ART of Healthy Ageing Network online event

The future of ageing research: developing successful interdisciplinary collaborations

On Wednesday 2^nd October 2024, we were delighted to be joined by almost 40 Network members for our latest online event.

At this event we heard from the PIs of 3 of our pump-priming projects who showcased their funded work and presented their reflections on leading interdisciplinary research and building capacity in translational ageing research.

By sharing their learning, Dr Karen Suetterlin, Professor Jatin Burniston and Dr Ríona McArdle, clearly demonstrated the value of building interdisciplinary collaborations.  We were also really pleased to hear about the wide range of development opportunities for ECR provided via our pump-priming awards.

This reflects the ART of Healthy Ageing Network’s commitment to supporting a thriving community of early career researchers and providing them with access to interdisciplinary training opportunities across multiple research organisations.

The aim of this event was to inform and inspire our Network members and feedback suggests we achieved this with many commenting on the great work all the projects have delivered and what an excellent session it was. Thanks to the PIs for presenting their work and to all those who joined us.
