Emma West
Biography
Emma is a PhD candidate at the Epi-Centre for Healthy Ageing within the Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT), Deakin University, Australia. Emma’s research utilises data from the Geelong Osteoporosis Study, an ongoing prospective cohort study, to determine the association between sarcopenia and common mental disorders. Her PhD addresses the hypothesis that poor muscle health is involved in the genesis of depression and anxiety.
