Andrew McQueen

  • Dr McQueen is a consultant radiologist and core member of the head & neck MDT at the Freeman Hospital. He will assist in reviewing clinical images and delineation of laryngeal tumours.

Dr Andrew McQueen, an experienced head and neck radiologist and a core member of the head and neck oncology multidisciplinary team at the Freeman Hospital, will assist in reviewing clinical images and delineation of laryngeal tumours. He will also remain a key port of call throughout the doctoral studies to assist in troubleshooting and provide further guidance with imaging protocols.

He developed an interest in Head and Neck radiology and undertook fellowship training at University College Hospital, London in 2010. He has a keen interest in Head & Neck ultrasound, radiology education and the integration of novel imaging techniques. He is a former council member of the British Society of Head & Neck Imaging and organiser of the highly successful BSHNI Refresher Course 2017-19. He is author of the Royal College of Radiologists Training Standards in Head & Neck Ultrasound (3rd edn.) and co-author of a popular FRCR 2b exam revision book. He recently co-authored an imaging chapter within ‘Textbook of Rhinology’ (Springer – in print) and has published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals. He has been a Radiology Education and Learning Meeting (REALM) lead for five years and will be speaking at REAL 2022 in Edinburgh.
