Patient & Public Involvement

The AIRSPACE project was developed in response to patient and public involvement (PPI) feedback from five families affected by advanced laryngeal cancer. During discussions, patients highlighted challenges in choosing between treatment options and the significant impact on their quality of life. Many were surprised that radiomics, widely used in other cancers, hadn’t been applied earlier to laryngeal cancer.

In response, the AIRSPACE project was designed to combine imaging analysis with clinicopathological factors, aiming to help patients make informed decisions and improve treatment outcomes by providing personalized insights into their care.

We are always seeking more patient and public involvement. If you are interested in contributing, please get in touch with us! Below are the patients currently involved with supporting the project and guiding its development!
