Claire Ford (Exploring Art) is an Embroidery graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University where she pushed the boundaries of what Art Forms are and how they can be perceived, concluding in a collaboration with the Royal Northern College of Music. Since University Claire has worked amongst all Art Forms with a Visual Art starting point to engage and empower all individuals she works alongside. She has extensive experience in Creative Facilitation for a variety of groups, ranging in ability, background and age, innovatively cross collaborating the arts through a person led approach.
In 2011 Claire was awarded as a Winston Churchill Fellow to travel and research Art Access for Older People across the United States. This enriching experience has inspired a funded project by the Arts Council using iPads alongside training various staff to implement successful access for this generation.
