Course Code 9649
(a) Candidates shall take the following compulsory modules:
- Civil Engineering Practice (CIV332)
- Dissertation (CIV898, Semesters 1&2)
The dissertation will be on a Structural Engineering topic to be approved by the Degree Programme Director.
(b) All candidates shall select, subject to the approval of the Degree Programme Director, further modules with a total modular value of 50 chosen from the following list:
- Refurbishment (CIV234)
- Techniques of Structural Assessment (CIV235)
- Foundation Design (CIV321)
- Ground Exploration (CIV322)
- Structural Engineering A (CIV331)
- Structural Engineering B (CIV333)
- Theory of Structures C (CIV334)
- Structural Design B (CIV335)
- Specialist Structures (CIV336)
- Construction Management A (CIV431)
- Construction Management B (CIV432)
- Finite Element Theory (CIV433)
- Finite Element Practice (CIV434)
- Structural Dynamics (CIV435)
- Structural Design C (CIV436)
- Advanced Construction Materials (CIV437)
or such other modules as agreed by the Degree Programme Director.
