15th Rural Entrepreneurship Conference
In its 15th year the Rural Entrepreneurship conference takes place in Newcastle upon Tyne. The conference is a forum for academics, practitioners and policy-makers that are involved in rural entrepreneurship – whether it be entrepreneurial farmers, social enterprise, new business models or international development. A friendly ‘toon’ with legendary nightlife, Newcastle is served by 2 universities, an international airport, and nearby iconic heritage sites such as Hadrian’s Wall and Holy Island.
The conference takes place on the 15th and 16th of June at the University of Newcastle (in the centre of the city). The programme will commence with a welcome reception at the Newcastle University Business School (number 81 on the University Campus Map) on the evening of the 14th June. The main programme starts on main campus on the 15th June with a 9:00 registration and finishes on the 16th June at 15:00.
For the conference, early bird rates are £185 before 29th April 2017 (After this, the fee will be £220). For PhD students, the fee is £150. The Gala dinner takes place on the evening of the 15thJune and is being held this year in the medieval banquet hall at Blackfriars Restaurant in the heart of the city. The Gala dinner will be £30.00 and guests are welcome.
